Catherine Wilson, Ensemble Vivant - Virtuoso pianist and recording artist, Catherine Wilson is one of this generation's most interesting and innovative clasical instrumentalists, Ensemble Vivant, in which she is joined by Erica Beston (violin) and Sharon Prater (chello), has been performing to sell-out houses throughout North America and Europe for over 15 years.
In 2005 she made her debut at Carnegie Hall playing Leroy Anderson's Piano Concerto with the New York Pops. This performance was a triumphant success and was included in a P.B.S. documentary on Anderson "Once upon a Sleigh Ride".
Whether playing a standard piano trio, a popular ballad, a spirited rag, or a sensuous tango, Ensemble Vivant captures the appropriate style instantly.
Cornwall concertgoers gave Catherine Wilson a standing ovation in 1999. They will be equally pleased when she appears in 2008.
