Over the past few years the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) has been a significant contributor to Aultsville Theatre's revitalization program.
In 2009 Aultsville Theatre received a $60,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) toward refurbishment of the theater's theatrical lighting system. This grant, combined with additional funds raised by the Aultsville Theatre Management Committee, enabled the completion of the first phase of the lighting project.
The old lighting system was original to the building and in dire need of replacement. With the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Aultsville Theatre replaced the lighting control system with state of the art equipment that will accommodate professional touring artists as well as local theatre groups for the foreseeable future.
While there is still work to be done, Aultsville Theatre is a much more viable venue as a result of this work.
Jim Brownell, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry, who joined OTF representative Gérald Samson for the presentation of the grant said: “Aultsville Theatre is an important cultural venue in the area and we want to ensure it will continue to bring us the highest quality arts and entertainment. I look forward to seeing stage productions at this theatre for many years to come.”

Aultsville Theatre is a community theatre that is operated as a non-profit organization in partnership with the City of Cornwall and St. Lawrence College.
